Some tips to adapt to
the New Year.

Let the earrings be
the focal point in 2017.
Every New Year we promise to walk more, learn yoga, eat a
healthier diet, update our beauty routine, use sunscreen daily, clean the
closet and be the best version of ourselves.
Well, the thing is, looking good at 50, 60, and 70 and
beyond is a choice. What I mean is that we should choose to get on that
blissful treadmill while watching Netflix, rather than lying on the couch.
So this is not the time for you to stop exfoliating, using
moisturizer, exercising, and eating vegetables.
But 2017 doesn't have to be
full of continuous work, commitment, and deprivation. To keep yourself happy,
treat yourself to these five fashion and beauty tips that are likely to be the
trend of the year.
Light up your face with colorful dangle earrings. Drop
dangling decorative earrings, the extremely long and mega-discs adorned the
spring runways from Saint Laurent to Missoni and Tory Burch. They're a new
alternative to flashy necklaces, but first consider this: The holes and lobes
in your ears must have stretched after so many years of wearing heavy earrings
- or simply over the years. If that's the case, go with drop earrings, like
J.Crew's leather petal and sequin earrings, or brooch earrings, like tassel
earrings from vendor MyCrystalMarket from Etsy. Neither of these models weighs
or pulls.
You can also turn those chandelier earrings and drop
earrings into clasp earrings, so you can wear them again (while masking the
drooping of your lobes). A kit of Rocking Beads or Clip-Ease do-it-yourself
materials simplify the task — as well as making it fun.
Buy a smarter bra. Do you know that fluctuations in weight,
exercise and mere gravity can alter your back and cup size in just one year?
Today, you can find three big changes to bra hangers:
By desexualizing the breasts, bras have changed styles, from
"push-up" to non-padded, wire-free bras that provide cover, control,
support and comfort.
The "barrette" is a hybrid of a bra and a crop top
with a wider support band. Reduces irritation and prevents spills or bumps from
forming.
Some high-tech brands that are available online now have a
try-and-return policy. For example, Third Love allows you to order the model
24/7, remove the labels, use it for 30 days, and return it at no cost if you
decide you don't want it. (You can even wash it during a trial period.) And
True & Co. finds your perfect fit through an online questionnaire, provides
you with troubleshooting tips, and simplifies returns.
This shirt will give you something to talk about. We
probably all have a lot of plain white or black T-shirts, so why not wear one
with a message - one that shows your political, environmental or personal
ideals? We love to give our opinion, so find an elegant way to promote
awareness without saying a word.
In addition, this custom has a noble, or at least notorious,
precedent: on the Dior catwalk there was a t-shirt that read "We all must
be feminists", while the Colombian designer Haier Ackermann, for his part,
showed a t-shirt that encouraged attendees and read "Be your own
hero".
Create your own long sleeve t-shirt at CustomInk.com and you
can carry your thoughts on your chest! Or, if you prefer a more subtle way to
carry your message, you can camouflage it with a fitted robotnik jacket.
Long live the stripes! Of course, we love the classic Breton
nautical fringe blouse with three-quarter sleeves. But casual fringe dresses
have also made their mark on the nautical vibe. Look for black or navy stripes
in A-line dresses, body-fitting, straight-cut dresses at stores like H&M,
L.L. Bean, Dress Barn, banana republic, White House Black Market and Old Navy.
Designers like Proenza Schouler, Max Mara, Ralph Lauren, and Opening Ceremony
set the tone, but the versions of these discount stores are equally chic.
Jacket. Puffy eyebrows frame the eyes, add structure
to the face.
